Good hotel with free wi-fi in public areas, a lovely outdoor dining area, and a tv. The staff once helped me find the best exchange rate too. Looking forward to my return next year!

Perfect for a nice getaway
I was astonished by the excellent customer service we received, they made us feel like we were at home. The breakfast was not just good but generous, you had fresh fruits, yogurts and even a full English, can’t forget those beautiful eggs!
It wasn’t cheap but considering the quality, it was still acceptable.

Beautiful countryside scenery, Cozy wood-burning fireplaces, Ample parking for easy access
A lack of wifi password availability, minor maintenance issues could detract from comfort!!! The inconsistency in room sizes might leave some guests feeling disappointed!!! Local information and dining options beyond breakfast were sadly limited!!!

A warm community embrace
From the moment we arrived, we were greeted like family by the owners. The delicious homemade fish and chips was a standout meal, perfectly light and crispy.
Unfortunately, the breakfast service was a bit slow. We felt the wait longer than expected for such a charming place.

Welcoming atmosphere immediately stood out. The owners, Steve and Karen, treated me like family. Their homemade fish and chips? Simply the best I’ve ever tasted—light, crispy, and full of flavor. Cozy sitting areas with wood-burning fires added to the charm. I enjoyed playing darts and pool in the game room, a fun way to unwind. The view from the nearby castle is breathtaking, worth the short walk. I did notice the breakfast took longer than expected to serve, which slightly disrupted my mornings. the room could use some minor updates. it felt a bit dated in places.

missingWrote a review on 26 Maylocal meatsbeautiful countrysidepoor communicationservice shortcomingsorganizational issues
Had a reserved table for lunch for two weeks, but upon arrival, the venue was closed, and no one was available to respond. Although the promise of award-winning local meats was enticing, the lack of communication and service made it frustrating. there's a pressing need for better organization and upkeep, particularly in addressing unreturned calls. This establishment may need considerable improvements to meet guest expectations.
